Two National Guard Troops Shot Near White House, Suspect Down
Two National Guard troops were shot near the White House on Wednesday afternoon.
ABC News reported that a suspect was down, and law enforcement had secured the scene. The conditions of the National Guard troops were not immediately clear. Both of the troops were in uniform when they were shot.
Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem confirmed that National Guardsmen had been shot, saying, “Please join me in praying for the two National Guardsmen who were just shot moments ago in Washington D.C. @DHSgov is working with local law enforcement to gather more information.”
