According to recent Federal Election Commission reports, the Republican party has almost $700 million cash on hand across six different funding groups. The Democrats have $167 million cash on hand, but the DNC is in debt.

“The RNC closed out 2025 in a position of real strength, building a serious war chest as we head into the 2026 midterms focused on defending and expanding our Republican majorities,” said Republican National Committee Chairman Joe Gruters.

Both parties believe the 2026 midterms will be critical.

Republicans are looking to hold on to their slim majorities in the House and Senate. Losing the House and Senate will legislatively stall President Donald Trump’s agenda, and could set Trump up for impeachment.

The RNC alone has $95 million while the DNC has $12.6 million in cash but is $16 million in debt.

“We’re ensuring our candidates have the resources they need to win and to push back against the far left’s radical agenda,” continued Gruters.

“President Trump’s record is driving historic grassroots support and giving Republican candidates the opportunity to defy history in the midterms,” RNC Press Secretary Kiersten Pels told the Daily Signal.

Trump’s super PAC, MAGA Inc., is recorded to have over $370 million in cash stockpiled to support Republicans in the midterms.

Meanwhile, the GOP’s Congressional Leadership Fund ended the year with $54 million on hand to be spent on reelecting Republicans to the U.S. House.

The National Republican Congressional Committee ended the year with $19 million cash on hand. Over the course of 2025 Johnson transferred a total of $23 million, with $13.4 million going directly to members running for re-election.

“Democrats and their left-wing allies are preparing to flood the midterms with outside money, which is exactly why the RNC has built this war chest — to go toe-to-toe with that spending, conduct targeted voter outreach, and support President Trump and our candidates nationwide,” Pels told The Daily Signal.

“This momentum puts Republicans in a strong position heading into 2026,” Pels added.

The DNC could not be reached for comment.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
