Democrats Love Epstein

Breaking news: The sun rose in the east today. 

In an equally predictable development, Democrats screamed at Republicans for allegedly doing what Democrats actively perpetrate. This is psychological projection: pinning one’s flaws on others. 

Classic example: A morbidly obese man wolfs down his third after-dinner milkshake and screams at a physical trainer nibbling a salad: “Put down the fork, you cow!”

That’s how Democrats acted this week after relentlessly bellowing at President Donald Trump about the late convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein: “OPEN THE EPSTEIN FILES! WHAT ARE YOU HIDING, FASCIST? HITLER WOULD HAVE RELEASED THEM BY NOW!!”

The Epstein files finally are emerging and, lo and behold, they are clogged with Democrats!

Epstein was a generous political donor, overwhelmingly to Democrats. According to OpenSecrets.com’s spreadsheet, between 1990 and 2018, Epstein contributed $200,676 to both parties’ candidates and committees. Republicans scored $18,250 (9.1%), and Democrats received $182,426 (90.9%). Epstein preferred Democrats 10-to-1. 

Epstein’s selected beneficiaries included:

•Former GOP President George H.W. Bush: $1,000

•Former Sen. Alfonse D’Amato, R-N.Y.: $2,000

•Former Senator Joe Lieberman, D-Conn.: $3,000

•Former Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass.: $4,000

•Senator Charles Schumer, D-N.Y.: $7,000

•Democratic National Committee: $32,000

•Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee: $59,000

Trump’s name is nowhere. Despite Hate Trump, Inc.’s Big Lie that Trump and Epstein were BFFs who prowled junior-high-school campuses for dates, Epstein never funded Trump. “He gave me none. Zero,” Trump said Tuesday. “No money to me.”

“I have nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein,” Trump added. Despite previously socializing, Trump booted Epstein from his Mar-a-Lago resort in October 2007, reportedly for improper conduct toward a member’s teenage daughter. Trump explained: “I threw him out of my club many years ago because I thought he was a sick pervert—and I guess I turned out to be right.” 

Indeed, on June 30, 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty to prostituting a girl below age 18. He was sentenced to 18 months in prison, although he largely was “confined” to his Palm Beach mansion, worked at his office, and traveled on his private jet.

•Speaking of which, Democrat former President Bill Clinton took 17 flights aboard Epstein’s plane, dubbed The Lolita Express, in 2002-03. Epstein also donated $2,000 to Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign.

•The House’s Democrat leader is embroiled in this scandal.

“Democrat fundraisers invited Epstein to an event or to meet privately with Hakeem Jeffries as part of their 2013 effort to win a majority,” House Government Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ken., announced on the House floor Tuesday afternoon. “So, Hakeem Jeffries’ campaign solicited money from Jeffrey Epstein!”

“Hakeem is committed to electing a Democrat majority in 2014 and is encouraging his friends to participate in the DCCC/DSCC [Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee/Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee] fundraising dinner with President Obama this coming Monday night,” Lisa Rossi of Dynamic SRG e-mailed Epstein on May 7, 2013. “Shoot us an e-mail or give us a call at (212) 531-2858 if you would like to get involved with the dinner, or would like to get an opportunity to get to know Hakeem better.”

Remember: This was almost five years after Epstein’s pedophilia conviction.

•Meanwhile, former Harvard President and Clinton’s Treasury Secretary Larry Summers e-mailed Epstein like crazy. Among other topics, Epstein coached Summers on how to finesse a seemingly difficult extramarital affair. Summers complained about “being the friend without benefits.” 

Epstein e-mailed Summers, “you reacted well,” in a March 16, 2019, dust-up with his apparent mistress. Epstein added in a characteristic run-on sentence, “annoyed shows caring, no whining showed strength.”

•Non-voting Delegate Stacey Plaskett, D-Virgin Islands, live-texted with Epstein before she questioned Trump’s disgraced former attorney Michael Cohen during a February 2019 U.S. House Oversight Committee hearing. Apparently, watching on TV, Epstein complimented Plaskett’s attire (“Great outfit”) and informed her that Rhona Graff was Trump’s former executive assistant. Moments later, Plaskett quizzed Cohen about Graff. One minute after she concluded, Epstein texted her: “Good work.”

Spokeswoman Angeline Jabbar told CNN that Plaskett feels “disgust over Epstein’s deviant behavior … ” However, in 2016 and 2018, Plaskett curbed her disgust long enough to accept $8,100 of Epstein’s campaign cash.

Yet again, the Democrat Party’s incessant psychological projection and infinite hypocrisy are reasons enough for its sun to set in the west.
