‘You Lost The Fight’: Charlamagne Tha God Tells Democrats To End Shutdown

Popular New York radio host Charlamagne tha God told Democrats that it’s time to admit defeat and end the government shutdown.

“The healthcare is going up anyway because the ‘Big Beautiful Bill’ didn’t include the extension of the tax credits to keep the cost down. So, if it’s going up anyway, what’s the point of continuing to take a stand for people’s healthcare not to go up?” he said during Monday’s episode of “The Breakfast Club.”

Contributor Mimi Brown agreed, mentioning that people have already received information from healthcare providers about their revised premiums because open enrollment has already occurred.

“And the premiums are set for a year,” Charlamagne added. “So at this point, if the premiums have already gone up, if they’re set for a year, at least give the people some relief and get the government back open.”

He went on to address how the Democrats remain stubborn on the issue.

“Democrats, you fought. It seems like you lost the fight. At this point, you know, go on and give it up,” the host went on. “At least give the people some relief by getting the government back open. Let these people get these SNAP benefits. Let these government workers get their checks. We don’t need all this craziness at the TSA during the holidays. Like, I think you lost… I feel like they lost, it’s over.”

“It seems like a pride thing, now,” co-host DJ Envy chimed in.

Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) also took a stand against his party this week, saying the Democrats need to “own the shutdown” as the government closure drags on into its second month.

Fetterman expressed his frustration that tens of millions of Americans are losing their SNAP benefits, calling it “one of the big reasons” why he broke from his party.

“And again, I feel like the Democrats really need to own the shutdown. I mean, we’re shutting it down,” Fetterman told CNN’s Jake Tapper on Sunday, as The Daily Wire previously reported. “I know why they claim — because they want to address the tax credits, and I fully support that. I voted for all of their CRs, our CRs, every single time. And I refuse to put 42 million Americans in the kinds of food insecurity. … All is solved by just reopen[ing] our government and the people are now paid.”

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
