Left-Wing Activists Threaten To Primary John Fetterman. He Just Laughs.

Left-wing activists in Pennsylvania have threatened to launch a primary campaign against Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) — but he’s just laughing it off, saying that they’ll make him look more like the reasonable person he’s always claimed to be.

Fetterman reacted to the news on Friday’s Fox News broadcast of “The Story” with host Martha MacCallum, saying he did not expect the group  — Working Families for Pennsylvania — to get much traction against him.

The left-wing group had released a statement a few days earlier, promising action: “We’re primarying John Fetterman. Last week, Fetterman once again sold out working Pennsylvanians. He was the deciding vote for a Republican budget bill that will strip healthcare from over 400,000 Pennsylvanians. We deserve real working class leadership in the U.S. Senate.”

Fetterman struggled to contain his mirth.

“Ooh, ooh, oh, I hope, promise. I hope so — because I guarantee whoever they put up, they’re going to make me look the reasonable guy that’s going to work with both sides together and find a way for Pennsylvania,” he said, laughing at the idea.

Fetterman went on to defend his vote to end the recent government shutdown — the longest in American history — saying that he would not apologize for voting to restore SNAP benefits (food stamps) to the more than 40 million families who relied on them, nor would he apologize for voting to restore pay for the United States military and the Capitol Police.

“If they want to primary me … I’ve been on the side of common sense and I’m always going to put our country over party, and I think most people now realize that shutting our government down was wrong,” he concluded.

Fibis I am just an average American. My teen years were in the late 70s and I participated in all that that decade offered. Started working young, too young. Then I joined the Army before I graduated High School. I spent 25 years in, mostly in Infantry units. Since then I've worked in information technology positions all at small family owned companies. At this rate I'll never be a tech millionaire. When I was young I rode horses as much as I could. I do believe I should have been a cowboy. I'm getting in the saddle again by taking riding lessons and see where it goes.
